Men’s March! Men against ‘Violence against Women and Girls’
The Men’s March! Men against ‘Violence against Women and Girls’ is a flagship campaign of Yuwalaya held each year on the day of the International Women’s Day, March 8th. Yuwalaya, for the very first time in Nepal, launched the Men’s March in 2015 where young and adult men marched for gender equality and eliminating Violence against Women and Girls. This campaign aims to raise awareness about violence against women and girls and role of men and boys to eliminate violence in home and society.
The Men’s March is organized every year by Yuwalaya in collaboration with like-minded organizations, child clubs, youth clubs and networks and has expanded at district level. So far, we have organized Men’s March at Kapilvastu, Doti, Banke, Saptari and Parsa districts outside of Kathmandu valley. Every year, our campaign reiterates the message that ‘Men can stop violence’ and ‘Engage men and boys to build an equitable society’.
