Empowering Women Through Digital Storytelling

The project, “Empowering Women Through Digital Storytelling” with Oxfam International Asia Regional Platform is focused on recognition of unpaid care work. The project aims to create opportunities for young boys and girls to learn and engage in indigenous music and dance. The project focuses on uncover the situation of care work in various settings (both in public and private sphere), facilitation of dialogue with stakeholders informed by lived experiences, advocate for care plan, policies and infrastructure in the public spheres and create synergy by including men allies into care work. Like the name of the project itself state the project also aimed to develop digital story of lived experiences of care work which played a significant role in the process of advocating for unpaid care work. The project outcomes includes:

  • Recorded and disseminated all 10 stories of unpaid care workers from diverse backgrounds and sectors
  • Conducted 10 care dialogues including 7 local level, 3 provincial and 1 federal care dialogue.
